Limited numbers of membership shares in all four seasonal bands are available for purchase via the Resales Department, whose office is situated next to the reception area of the Club.
The available shares (all valid at least until the year 2064) have been offered for sale by existing Club members. A share in the Club is equivalent to one week in any particular season. There are two types of Club villa: 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom and 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom.
Once you have decided upon the colour and type of membership you require, the procedure for purchasing is as follows:
1. Advise the Sales Department that you have decided to proceed with the purchase.
2. Give them your credit card details and authorise a debit of the euro equivalent of 10% of the agreed sterling purchase price. This will hold the week(s) you are purchasing off the market, but the debit will not be actioned by the Club unless after 10 days following your decision to purchase you decide not to proceed. This is in accordance with Spanish Law.
3. At this point you will be allocated a membership number and will be able to request a provisional booking up to 11 months in advance. This will become a firm booking once the purchase transaction is complete.
4. The Sales Department will give you instructions to enable you to transfer from your bank to our bank, the total amount of the purchase price plus administration fee. Once this amount has been received into our bank, we will then cancel the debit authority of the euro amount referred to in para. 2 above.
5. The outgoing member will surrender his or her membership certificate, giving up all rights of membership. You, as the incoming member, will sign a membership application form, indicating that you accept the benefits and obligations of membership.
6. Your membership certificate, bearing your membership number, specifying the details of your ownership, and signed by the Club Chairman, will then be issued to you in your name or whatever name or company you may designate.
7. It should be noted that a Spanish Transfer Tax is payable in respect of the purchase of any membership weeks. Details of this tax and the procedure for payment will be provided to you once your purchase transaction is complete.
8. Should you wish to visit other 5-star resorts, you will, as a full member of La Quinta Club, be eligible to join one or both of the international holiday exchange organisations to which La Quinta Club is affiliated, namely Resort Condominiums International (R.C.I.) and Interval International (I.I.) and will then be able to exchange your booked week(s) to visit any of a great variety of 5-star resorts world wide. Please note that all La Quinta Club weeks, in the blue, green and yellow colour bands, have been granted red week status for exchange purposes with Interval International.
