First and foremost La Manga Club is renowned for its sports facilities. It has three international standard golf courses, a tennis complex with 28 courts, a squash court, and a pristine bowling green, to name but a few of its many amenities. A Spa with health and beauty centre also recently opened at La Manga Club. It has an excellent footballing centre that frequently hosts top teams from throughout Europe.

In addition to these, there are also water sports available nearby, as well as great opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, horse riding and jogging trails. We have split the activities into two sections, those available at La Manga Club, and those that can be done in the surrounding area.

In La Manga Club

Boules

A petanque court is located at the Tennis Centre. Play the game enjoyed by the French for centuries.

Bowls

The bowling green is situated at the tennis centre, and woods can be hired. It is one of the few in Spain.

Climbing

It comes as something of a surprise to learn that La Manga Club has its own climbing wall at the Tennis Centre, and that regular supervised sessions are held there.

Cricket

Not a sport normally associated with Spain, but La Manga Club has opened up an all weather cricket facility at the football centre.

Football

La Manga Club is becoming increasingly famous for its football complex which is frequently used as a training facility by some of Europe’s leading club sides including Chelsea, Tottenham, Grasshoppers Zurich, Real Madrid and Dinamo Kiev in recent years. It has also been home to the England international squad on numerous occasions.

A footballing academy operates for youngsters at certain times of the year with daily training sessions from FA qualified coaches. It is highly recommended that you pre-book the Football Academy, as it is usually very well attended. Advance bookings can be made through the Tennis Centre on 0034 968 175000 extn 1666.

Par 47 Pitch and Putt Located near the Tennis Centre, the manicured 18 hole pitch and putt course is the perfect place to perfect your short game. The course has a full compliment of bunkers and water hazards making it ideal for practising your approach play and putting.

Mini Golf

There are two mini golf courses, one located at Las Lomas, the other next to the Mini Club Fiesta in the heart of La Manga Club. Great fun, especially if you play the courses with the kids.

Swimming

Most communities at La Manga Club have their own swimming pools, but for a change of scenery, the Oasis pool located at the Tennis Centre is the perfect alternative. It has three separate depth sections, and a bar serving drinks and light refreshments which opens during the summer months. It also has sun beds and sun umbrellas for hire.

Resort Gym and Spa

There is currently a small spa and fitness centre located at the Tennis Centre. However, a state of the art Spa and Health and Beauty facility opened at La Manga Club in March, 2004, and has an extensive range of facilities.

Cycling

Hiring a bicycle is a great way of exploring La Manga Club and the surrounding area. They can be rented through Biking La Manga which is part of the Activity Booking Centre www.abclamanga.com close to La Plaza in the heart of the resort. La Manga Club is situated amidst the Murcian foothills and these offer some exciting and challenging bike trails.

The Activity Booking Centre has a wide range of mountain and road bikes available, and also offers guided rides throughout the year to nearby Los Belones, or to Calblanque Regional park or the famous Portman guns.

Biking La Manga has a wide selection of bikes that are suitable for both beginners, and more experienced cyclists, and also has trailer bikes, child seats and child trailers available for hire. They also provide helmets, maps, locks and can be pre-booked in advance by calling 0034 968 338260.

Diving

Scuba diving courses are available at the Adventure Divers Scuba Centre at Las Lomas. Courses are designed to cater for all levels and abilities and include PADI Programmes. Extensive diving opportunities are also available in the Mar Menor and also at the Islas Hormigas Marine Reserve located just off the coast at Cabo de Palos.
